The 7th City of Stirling 10k Road Race and 2k Fun Run

This year’s race will take place at Forthbank Stadium on Sunday 14 September 2008. The 10k is one of the 10 events included in this year’s Scottish Athletics Road Racing Grand Prix. Although the route will follow a slightly different course this year (due to the opening of a new railway line), it is still fast, flat and scenic - ideal for achieving a personal best. Both races will, again, be chip timed using the ‘chip in race number’ system.

Club Records Updated

Thanks to the combined efforts of Steve Laing and Kenny Pearson, many of the club records have now been updated and can be accessed by clicking the links below or the menu button on the left. Some of the age groups have still to be updated and are not included in the new records so these can be accessed under the 2002 link.

In general terms, to count as a club record, a performance must have been achieved by the club member whilst competing in club, league, national or international competition and whilst wearing club or team colours.

Many of the records are still quite long standing and there for the taking. Others, such as the veteran men sprint records, are so impressive that they look like they will never be beaten.

Anyone wishing to query, claim or notify a new record  should forward a copy of the official results for the meeting in which the record was achieved to Kenny Pearson
