CENTRAL AC HOLD OFF RELEGATION IN DIVISON 1 OF THE FORTH VALLEY LEAGUE
Central’s division 1 team came out fighting hard to avoid relegation and they did not disappoint. With the Division 1 Central team sitting in the relegation zone before the meet it was all about improving the overall team standing. At the end of the match, Central took sixth place on the day by just 8 points, lifting the team to sixth overall and safety.
In the under 15 boys Neil Casserly (4.98m) and Daniel Ferguson (4.57m) both jumped well finishing 3rd in the A and B strings respectively. Kyra Gibb ran well in the under 15 girls 1500m finishing in a time of 5:02.07. Robb Ferguson finished in 2nd place in the under 11 boys High Jump and achieved the clubs silver standard with a jump of 1.20m.

Central’s Division 2 team achieved thirteen top three finishes against some tough competition. Carrie Davidson jumped a fantastic 4.28m in the under 15 girls long jump finishing in 3rd place. Jack Campbell, under 13 boys, had a strong 200m finishing 1st with a time of 30.4s. Anna MacKinnon (5:51.8) and Summer MacLean (6:01.6) both ran well in the under 13 girls 1500m finishing 1st and 2nd respectively in the A and B strings.
