Central AC’s junior team competed in the second match of the Forth Valley League at Craigswood Sports Stadium, Livingston. In a busy meeting with three Divisions and 21 teams on show, Central had two teams, one each in Divisions 1 and 3.

Under-13 Boys 75m Hurdles

Central’s Division 1 team put up a strong fight against some great opposition. Robb Ferguson started the event with a great run and Personal Best (PB) in the 75 Metre Hurdles in a time of 13.5s. Connor Bell looked strong in the 1,500 Metres finishing in first place with a time of 4:55.30. Magnus Bryce ran a fantastic 200 Metres finishing in second place with a time of 30.6s attaining the club’s silver standard. Niamh McKinlay achieved the club’s bronze standard in the Under-11 Girls 600 Metres with a great time of 2:02.20 (PB). Jack Sutton threw well in the Under-11 Boys Shot Put finishing in second place with 5.02m (PB) while Catriona Kane also finished second in the Under-13 Girls Javelin with 10.74m (PB). The High Jump saw some fine jumping with Euan Wilbert (a 1.45m PB) and Scott Hopper (1.50m) competing for the Under-15 Boys. Under-13 Girls 1,500 Metres

Central’s Division 3 team are currently sitting in second place with promotion to Division 2 still within reach going into the final. In the Under-11 Boys Lewis Miller (14.6s) and Tyler Gibson (16.1s) each finished in 1st place in their 100 Metre race. The Under-15 Boys also took top spots in the 100 Metres with Jamie McNaught (12.9s) and Adam McGregor (13.7s). The Under-11 Boys and Under-13 Girls continued the winning streak with Ray Taylor (2:04.10) and Douglas Stewart (2:10.50) finishing first in their Under-11 Boys 600 Metres and Carys Gibb (5:21.70) and Mary Kealey (6:04.70) in the Under-13 Girls 1,500 Metres. Central excelled in the field events taking first and second place in 13 out of 16 heats across the age groups. The Under-15 Boys and Girls took on the High Jump with Louise Carroll (1.35m), Megan Dunlop (1.15m), Jamie McNaught (1.53m) and Harris Milne (1.30m). The Under-13 Boys and Girls competed in the Long Jump with Dylan McCulloch (3.46m), Michael Arestis (3.01m), Danielle Abel (3.45m) and Emily Guest (3.19m).
