10k FAQs

7th City of Stirling 10k and 2k Fun Run – Frequently Asked Questions

When is it and where does it start?

The 2008 race is on Sunday the 14th of September at Forthbank Stadium in Stirling starting  at 10am.

Do you have to be a Club runner to enter the 10k?

No, definitely not! The race is open to anyone aged 15 or over.

Is it a tough course?

No – the course is flat and fast – ideal for first time 10k runners, or those of you looking for an improved time.

Can I just walk the 10k for fun?

This is a 10k road race and we don’t really recommend it for walkers. The course will not be marshalled or policed from about 11.20am so we couldn’t guarantee the safety of participants finishing after this time.

Do I have to register before the race?

Entry forms will be available from this site nearer the time and online entry will be available.

Yes for the 10k. Applications will be accepted until 10h of September or until the race limit is reached – so make sure you get your entry in early.  Last year we did have to turn applicants away.

You can register for the 2k Fun Run on the day, however it would be advisable to enter beforehand – then you will not have to stand around in a queue waiting to register!

Is the 2k Fun Run only for kids?

No. This event is open to everyone, however an adult must accompany children under 8 years old.
