It was another great evening for Central AC at the Scottish Athletics 5km championships at Silverknowes in Edinburgh on Friday 5 May 2023 with 17 club athletes toeing the start line.

Jamie Crowe took the win in a new course record of 14 minutes and 12 seconds. He was well supported by Cameron Milne (6th, 14:33) and Alastair Hay (7th, 14:35) allowing Central AC to take the team golds as well. The team was completed by Luca Fanottoli (14:45), Calum Phillip (14:58), Cameron Kerr (15:14), Lewis McComb (15:19), Josh Wood (15:23), Sandy Holl (15:45), Andrew Irvine (16:00) and Kenny Hislop (20:11).

Connor Bell stormed to victory in the Under-17 Men in a new personal best of 14:50

The Senior Women had some great performances but narrowly missed out on medals with Jennifer Wetton finishing in fifth (17:02), followed by Natalie Stewart in 16th (17:51), Kim Timmins (39th, 18:58), Louise Torr (48th, 19:43) and Grace Whelan (60th, 21:30) with Kim and Louise both posting new personal bests.
