Entries for the Simon Wake Comrie Hills Relay on 3 September organised by Strathearn Harriers have just opened (https://www.entrycentral.com/SWCHR). The race is a 4 leg relay with one runner on each leg (in the past, one of the legs has been run in pairs). The course covers 42km of trails and moorland along the hills of Glen Lednock near Comrie.
We haven’t had teams in the race for a while because the date has clashed with the Stirling 10k – but not this year!
As an added incentive, because it’s now 10 years since either of the team course records have been broken (men’s 2013, women’s 2011) Tiso has donated some prizes for new records this year.
All race proceeds go to research into pancreatic cancer.
The race Facebook page is at https://www.facebook.com/SWCHR18. There’s more info on the Strathearn Harriers website: https://strathearnharriers.org.uk/our-races/simon-wake-comrie-hills-relay. There’s also a wee individual junior race too… https://strathearnharriers.org.uk/our-races/simon-wake-comrie-hills-relay/comrie-junior-hill-race.
