5000M Race
The Men’s 3000m steeplechase had three Central runners fighting it out for the medals with Scott Green taking silver (9:30.42), Alex Hendry bronze (9:31.82) and Michael Wright in fourth place (9:32.69). In a highly competitive 1500m, another to gain a hard won silver medal was Dale Colley with 3:50.82, with Alistair Hay just missing with fourth (3:51.81). Tom Watson repeated his result from last year as he took a fine bronze medal in the 800 metres race with 1:51.08. Peter Muirhead also took silver with a 7.19 metres long jump. The men’s 5000m was a packed race with Central’s Conan McCaughey 8th in 15:04.11 just ahead of Alex Hendry in 9th place with 15:08.58.
