First 2023 athlete database and club awards night – update 19 March

Mar 19, 2023

The first athlete database of the new season is now available on the Athlete statistics page. It contains all performances from the start of the indoor season to recent the age group championships. It is also gives details of our athlete awards scheme and what standards athletes have achieved so far this season.

Top standards so far this season:

Gold: Aaliyah McCloud, Dylan McCulloch, Connor Bell

Silver: Rachel Carvel, Lewis Munro, Dara Clark, Emily Stanford, Lewis Miller

Bronze: Hugh Thomas, Mica McCloud, Niamh McKinlay, Loren Stewart

And numerous blue and merit standards as well. Congratulations to all.

Certificates will be presented at the club’s annual End of Season Celebration. We are pleased to say this has already been booked for Friday 10 November 2023 at the Stirling Court Hotel on the University campus with the same format as for 2022.

Currently only indoor track and field events are recorded within the performance database and we are aware how limited opportunities are to compete during the indoor season. So for the first time the competition section now includes a record of the number of cross country events athletes have competed in as well. The outdoor season will offer opportunities for everyone to compete and gain performances which qualify for awards. The club will be running a time trial series over the summer giving all athletes the opportunity to compete across running, jumping and throwing.
