Club track and field championships, 14 September 2024

Aug 24, 2024

The Club Championships for track and field will take place on Saturday 14 September. This is open to everyone and is being held alongside Falkirk Victoria Harriers again so that we can keep costs down whilst also utilising the facilities at Grangemouth Stadium.

HOW DO THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS WORK?

1. Athletes must enter at least three events – this must be made of at least one track and one field event.

2. The performances are all scored and the best overall scores in each age group are declared Club Champion, Runner up, 3rd place etc. and will receive awards at the Club Annual Awards Ceremony. However all athletes have something to compete for as there are specific performance awards at the Club Champs as well as certificates for performances scoring merit, blue, bronze, silver or top award of gold against the Club Event Standards.

3. Athletes can only enter a maximum of four events.

4. Under-13 and Under-15 athletes cannot enter two races more than 600m in length on the same day – this is set by UK Athletics and is to protect young athletes. However if athletes in these age groups wish to complete both 800 Metres and 1500 Metres they should enter 1500 Metres at the Club Champs and declare when they are entering the 800 Metres at the Club Time Trials on 29 August on their entry form that this is being counted for purposes of the Club Champs.

5. Entries are completed via OpenTrack at

Entries open now and will close on Monday 9 September.

The club is very grateful to Will Hogg for his work in pulling this together. The event can’t happen without assistance, though – if you can volunteer to support Will by assisting on the day, it will be appreciated.
