Livingston Open Meeting

A number of Central AC’s athletes tested themselves at the Livingston Open Meeting on the night of Friday 19 June which saw an impressive 42 races in a busy 2 and a half hour schedule. It was great to see youngster Grace Craw taking on a 150metre (26.24sec) and 600metre (2min 20.55sec) challenge in the Under 12 age group, certainly someone to watch for the future. Under 16, Oliver McDonald, pushed his p.b. down to 29.13sec in the 200metres and again jumped beyond 4metres in the long jump. M40 runner, Ian McDonald, underlined his recent good form with a tasty 24.89sec 200metres.

The 800metre series saw good times from Daniel Sutherland (1min 59.55sec) and Amy Kirkpatrick (2min 14.64sec) while Josh Wood must feel he was the unluckiest athlete on the night, missing out on his 2 minute target by an agonising 0.03 of a second. It’s out there Josh!
