Mugdock 5 miles

Garscube Harriers remembered their clubmate Charlie Kilshaw on 16 July with a flat 5 miler around the perimeter of the Mugdock Reservoirs which collect the water at the end of the Loch Katrine aqueduct. Kevin Amos carried the flag in style for the club as he finished in 12th place in 28:59. Falkirk Wild Summer Trail Runs

The Falkirk Wild Summer Trail Runs on Saturday 18 July included a 5k and 10k around Callendar Park. In the 5k, Jamie Stevenson took the tape in a startling 17:18 with junior Nicole Taylor asserting the club’s strength in depth in 24:01. Musselburgh Running Festival

Musselburgh is famous for its horse racing but on Saturday 18 July the equines gave way to humans for a running festival including a trail 10k. Max Stevens led the Central charge as he took second place in 32:32 and Jill Scott ran a competitive 59:28. Hexham 10k

The Hexham 10k on 19 July reached from Hexham east to Corbridge with a bit of climb along the north side of the Tyne Valley and back again. The Cunningham battle bus rolled into town after a stop off for a quick Parkrun on the way south. Ally knocked out a comfortable 43:49 while Linda completed her first 10k on the road back from injury in an impressive 70:01.
