With great sadness we share the news that long term club stalwart John McDonald passed away on Wednesday 23 September 2026.

John was “Mr Central AC” through and through. He was a long standing servant to the club and all of its members. Many will remember John for his kindness, sense of humour and encouragement for everyone to get the best out of themselves.

The McDonald family are already overwhelmed with the many kind messages of best wishes and support. The family are planning a private family funeral for John. In the future there will be an opportunity to remember John’s life and contribution to the club and we invite you all to help us remember John at that time.
