It is with great regret that the club has heard of the passing of long time coach and honorary life member Roy Lennon.

Roy was a lovely man. Always cheery, positive and a first class coach. Many Central athletes benefitted from Roy’s enthusiastic support. He had been a fireman as a profession and, later in life, was very involved with Dollar bowling club. He is well remembered for his contribution to pupils at Dollar Academy during their spring training leading up to the school’s championships. Several of these pupils joined Central. There is no doubting that Roy made a significant impact at Central Athletic Club and with a number of disability athletes whom he also coached.

Roy’s funeral service is to take place on Thursday 23rd April 2026 at Falkirk Crematorium at 1:00pm.
