Scottish National Joint League – final match 27 July 2025

Jul 2, 2025

I am now planning for the final match of the Scottish National Joint League for the 2025 track and field season.

As has been explained before, the Scottish National Joint League provides quality track and field competition for Under 17, Under 20, Senior and Masters athletes. The fourth and final match of the 2025 season is on Sunday 27 July in Grangemouth and I am keen to get a good turnout of Central’s athletes for this final match of the season.

The format for the League includes league/team competition across the age groups and genders and opportunity to compete in a series of graded events. Central AC will not be involved in other track and field league competition during 2025 for these age groups.

The intended timetable for 27 July is in the PDF below – this meeting allows for track competition for 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m for Men, 300m/400m Hurdles, and field competition for Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot Put, Discus and Javelin. There will be sufficient qualified officials and automatic timing to ensure that performances will be shown on Power of 10 and can be used for international selection.

Central AC are required to provide helpers – three at each match and these personnel could change between morning and afternoon. The names of athletes along with 2023 (or later) personal bests and Scottish Athletics membership numbers must be submitted by Friday 17 July. Scottish Athletics membership numbers must be up to date and will be subject to scrutiny. There are no individual fees for competing as the competing clubs will cover these costs.

Should you be interested in being considered for competition on 27 July, please contact John McDonald by Wednesday 15 July at the latest (mcdonald@johnglenallan.plus.com), with details of preferred event and with any offers of assistance. This is a great opportunity for some quality competition and to improve your personal bests, or even try a new event.

Best Regards
John McDonald
